The Wire: Season 4 (2005)

Sam: *****

  • This season was about children, school, &, of course, drugs. Maybe not quite as amazingly good as the other seasons, or maybe my expectations are higher now, but since we don’t have half stars, still 5 stars.

Emma: ****

  • Good but not enough McNulty. It was also hard to watch the children fail and get hurt.

Color Me Kubrick (2005)

Sam: ***

  • Not much of a movie. A grotesque weirdo pretends to be Stanley Kubrick. That’s it — now you don’t need to see it.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 6 (2007)

Sam: ***

  • I have to agree with the consensus on this: Season 6 is the least good. This type of comedy has to have its share of clunkers but this season it’s more clunkers than yucks. And when it’s not funny you notice how mean the show is. I liked the ending, though.

Emma: ***

  • They should have ended this series last season.
