After repeated watchings (sp?) I actually will admit to liking Extras BETTER THAN The Office. Loved how they worked a celeb into every episode, but still developed the shows core characters as it went along. Seeing Gervais running onto the stage in the 50’s era tennis outfit in the Ian McKellen episode was probably the hardest I laughed at something on TV since they cancelled Fridays. I will agree that the final Office does rule harder, but overall, for my tastes anyway, Extras was the superior show.

Thanks. I was actually thinking about trying this one out, but now, never mind. I didn’t care much for “Love Actually” and this sounds rather similar with the jumpy storylines.

i liked this movie – i wish they made more just really bad stupid movies like this. great to put your mind on DUHH for awhile. kinda scary that there are actually ppl as dumb as the ppl in the movie too

Season 2 Disc 1 of The Wire is in the mail. We're all about HBO via Netflix. I'm glad to see that Omar is back in town in the last ep of Seas 1 -- he's one of my favorite characters. "Everybody wants to think the worst of Omar." Hilarious!

Season 1 has very few authentic white Baltimore accents. Michael K. Williams as Omar, however, has the black Baltimore accent in the bag. Have you only seen Season 1?

I’m usually pretty sensitive to accents. Renée Zellweger’s terrible English accent helped ruin BJ’s Diary for me. Event the technically good Boston accents in Scorsese’s latest bugged me cuz it seemed most of the actors were working at it. But I’m no Baltimoreon & probably got this one wrong.

Thanks for the positive post on my favorite show. I can tell, however, that you have not spent any considerable time in Baltimore if you think Dominic West’s accent is authentic. I love the guy and he’s great in the part but he barely sounds American much less Baltimorean. On one of the commentary tracks of the Season 2 DVDs he talks about how the producers won’t even let him even attempt the accent.
